It is an attempt meant to emulate the emptiness of space but that falls short.
Universe Sandbox Legacy is the first entry in the series. It does not exceed expectations, as number 2 completely redid the engine of the game and graphics improved it immensely. Space Engine is an option for a universe sandbox. This game mostly focuses on exploring the various planets rather than playing with how the physics of the world operate. Also, Space Engine is free while Universe Sandbox 2 is not. The Sandbox gives the player an interesting experience with controlling space while teaching a bit about physics. Universe Sandbox 2 is an epic simulator that allows you to create, shape, destroy, and simulate solar systems. It is not too hard to pick up, but it lacks any direct purpose. Its currently in alpha, but its really good and you really should get it if you have even a slight interest in space. It has amazing, mind-blowing, real-time planetary collisions. On YouTube people are playing universe sandbox 2 but I cant find it on Steam theres only universe sandbox which I presume is the first one. Nonetheless, it is a fun experience and is worth trying out. But on Google theres even a universe sandbox 3 so I dont understand it I want the latest one the best one.
